Since the earliest days of the Internet, the dream of musicians both young and old, signed and certainly unsigned, has been to market, promote and offer their music directly to people who love their music. We believe that time has fully arrived.
Our goal is to build iBands as musicians and for musicians. First, we want to help musicians profile their websites and their music by highlighting independent artists and bands who have taken the time, spent the minimum amount of cash required, to have a professional website designed and presented.
Why the emphasis on design instead the music you ask? Well, two reasons.
First, we love music too, but let’s face it, first impressions on the web of an artist or band that you haven’t heard before, is important. There is a lot of competition out there and you need to stand out, and not in a bad way.
Second reason. OK, you caught us. We’re designers and musicians who love great music and great looking websites.
Finally, we are building a platform to help artists whose websites need help. This platform will provide remarkably great looking websites, at very reasonable prices and put you in control of all the content and management of your website—no web designer or web guy to wait on to make changes, add gig dates, upload music and videos.
For now, if you have or have designed an excellent website for an artist or band, submit it for our consideration here. We will review all websites submitted and, if you’re website gets listed on iBands, you will have bragging rights that are going to be worth something.
